Automation Solutions Network and Ryerson University Event

The Printing Industries of America and the International Cooperation for the Integration of Processes in Prepress, Press and Post Press (CIP4) Organization have announced their plans to host an Automation Solutions Network Event in Toronto, ON, on June 15th and 16th. This event focuses on the real, tangible benefits of a JDF workflow implementation via presentations and discussions and a visit to a printing company which actually utilizes the benefits of automation.

Participants in the event will be visiting Ampersand Printing, a technologically advanced printer in Guelph, ON, who have implemented and are currently reaping the benefits of a HIFLEX driven JDF workflow. They are a multiple CIP4 CIPPI award winner, having just received a 2009 trophy recognizing them for the “Best Process Automation Implementation in North America.” See how they were able to reduce entire shifts without decreasing the amount of work completed, reduce the amount of human error in their facility, increase efficiency and speed, and achieve a plethora of other benefits while attaining an enormous return on investment.

The following day, on June 17th, a JDF Education Event will take place at the nearby Ryerson University.
